In my philosophy people experience two 'spaces', inner space and outer space more or less equelly.
There are a number (pun) of science categories to describe outer space. Things like math and physics, art and engineering, etc. However there are very few to describe the science of inner space, psychiatry? Let alone describe an infrastructural, and learning path. How are we to learn the sciences of our inner space, or do we all just stumble along as best we can?Using vision as an example. How many folks go beyond their natural ability with vision? Is it just what you learned by yourself, and the things you learned in school?
My step son took a speed reading course and paid over $100. out of his own pocket as a student. It was like a quantum leap in his academic abilities.
Have you played the game 'look in the box' and remember what's in it. There is a difference between the person who remembers the picture, and those who tried to remember names. Remembering pictures can be improved with practice. These are just a small example of the science of inner space.
Recently I got the idea that biologists should add a new category to biological descriptions. It relates to the creatures 'inner space' experience. The new category should describe 'sensory range' and primary senses (smell, eye sight, sound, chemical tasting, etc. of creatures. It only does so now in a hap hazard way.
In summary our inner space, is a black hole to our science today. People could with the right infrastructure, excel in fields that are inconceivable today.
