Modern Living - This gravy will get you high enough to deal with your family this Thanksgiving

This gravy will get you high enough to deal with your family this Thanksgiving

That’s some groovy gravy.
A California marijuana company wants families to take their Thanksgiving feasts to a “higher level” by dousing dinner with cannabis-infused gravy.
The doobie dressing, created by Kiva Confections, is a “cheeky take on a normally mundane holiday staple,” according to the company’s website (which grossly misrepresents the critical role of gravy).
“Awkward family dinner conversation? In just under 15 minutes you’ll start feeling the effects, so you can sit back, relax, and let the holiday cheer wash over you,” the site states.
The gravy, which sells for $5 a pop, comes in powder form and contains turkey stock, salt, onion, garlic and 10 milligrams of THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.
The powder should be whisked with 1 cup of water in a saucepan, boiled and served, the company advises.
Kiva’s stoney sauce also touts a new type of “fast acting” technology, which uses nano molecules that can be absorbed faster by the body. It should have the entire family baked in two to 15 minutes. It’s unclear what to do if the munchies kick in and the food runs out.
Alas, for New Yorkers looking for their Thanksgiving fix, the weed gravy is only sold at Sweet Flower in Los Angeles and Grass Roots in San Francisco.
Meanwhile, vaping illness — which is largely linked to unregulated marijuana cartridges — has killed 47 Americans as of Friday, including a second New Yorker last week.
