It's been a somber warm week in Cardinal this week.
Week ending July 18, 2021

It seems birds have been successfully prolific this year around Cardinal.  Here are a couple of different feathers some have left behind.

The day lilies seem to have enjoyed our first real burst of heat.

and the multitude of damp wet weather.

I do enjoy these coral guys.

one of the few day lilies I spent money to acquire.

and a bit of it's surroundings

another colour of zinnia

The Russian sage has even done well despite the damp.
"Salvia yangii, previously known as Perovskia atriplicifolia, and commonly called Russian sage, is a flowering herbaceous perennial plant and subshrub. Although not previously a member of Salvia, the genus widely known as sage, since 2017 it has been included within them." Wikipedia

The few plants that stay indoors for the summer (newbies this spring)

The latest day lily to open a flower, it only gets late day sunlight.

The first sunflower to open this year, planted by the birds.

When I moved here in 2000 there were no nut trees, this is what chipy and it's larger relatives have grown for their future.

Wild concord grapes look plentiful this yr.  I will collect some for a dynamite juice when they ripen later in the season.

Enjoy the pics, post your own.
