Chuck's picture corner to Oct 25, 2026

It's been a sunny week with full moon frosty nights, the first of the season. I have been working on preserving the last of the harvest, and still have flowers that need to be dug, and roots cleaned enough to spend the winter in the cool room behind the kitchen. The long dark nights of winter are upon us.

The hot peppers that hung on the front porch for weeks, now in the dryer, now it day 3 and the air is starting to get to my eyes with drying spice.
