I've been looking for Volcano news this morning. It seems the media has gone dark on the subject.
This pic. is several years old now and only points out a couple of the dozens of volcanoes under Antarctica ice and surrounding waters. Most of the volcanoes are in the west Antarctic.

Unscientific reports I came across spoke to the mineral wealth of some of these sub glacial volcanoes. (a mile to three miles under ice.)
Around the world it seems volcanoes that have started erupting just aren't quitting. They are still flowing and popping in Italy, Iceland, Japan, Indonesia, the Aleutian islands, to name a few of the 50 some visible hot spots. The climate disruption caused , completely absent from the narrative.
If that isn't blackout enough try getting current info. on underwater active volcanoes, and their locations.
So what causes a volcano uptick world wide. The only science on it relates to galactic cosmic rays. I must be bad at searching because after searching the only sites that chart these things and post them stopped doing so a couple of years ago it seems. I did come across this very interesting tid-bit however. It relates to muons the particle they measure to get cosmic ray counts.
