Pics from along the St. Lawrence, and around the yard these last couple of quite warm weeks.
my sage patch
Zinnia, some plants had different coloured blooms on the same plant
Basket of fire hot peppers from seed I collected from growing them last year
With the possibility of frost I hung a few of the hot peppers.
A young gull on the Prescott wharf waiting for one of my french fries
The view along the downstream shore in Prescott
The geese (along with many other species of waterfowl), just beginning to gather before heading south.
One of an oddball bunch of mushrooms growing under the spruce tree in the front yard.
The painted daisies are pretty much finished for the year.
The water front just down the street from my place, this a section of the 1812 canal. I'm facing roughly west.
a closer view of the blocks used
A small chanel built by the corn syrup factory for it's power generation.
I'm facing roughly east.
The local legion across the factory built chanell from me, behind it is the
St. Lawrence. I'm facing just east of south.
Still at the same place between canal, and chanel on a spit, I'm now facing south of west. The spit in the top left goes for about a mile before allowing the canal to open up to the river. The water there has a very strong current.
Enjoy this post and post your own
Cheers Chuck
