I spent the week in the mountains this week. Rachelle's mom Shawnah celebrated her 98th birthday. She walks every day 2-4 k steps. The end of the week has been a Jan. thaw with day time high's just above freezing.
Morning before heading north
night has frosted the trees for morning
We had a rare restaurant meal at the Bridge View for Shawnah's 98 th.
The windows of the Bridge View
surprising visitors at the bird feeder this week
They were very hungry and unafraid
Three in all one male and three female.
They came back a couple of days later for more.
With the thaw the ice is growing long
our job this week aside from bringing more firewood into the basement.
Even a hairy woodpecker showed up for a snack.
The ice grows a little longer as it rained a bunch
We will use the same tile to go up the wall 2'
No hibernation for these little guys
The strength of this dripping ice amazes me.
a fabulous day for working and walking the air is just so fresh and clean, the water clean and cold for the house.
It's 0c this morning and last night's new fallen snow has changed the colour out the windows.
It's amazing how the colour of the environment can change overnight.
Rachelle putting her feet up to 'smell the roses' at the end of the day just a day or two ago.
Enjoy and stay warm
Cheers
