Chuck's picture corner to July 13, 2025

It's been a hot sunny week and despite all the predictions of rain, and rain in surrounding areas there hasn't been any rain here. We went to see a niece sing in a nearby town (a half hr drive away) and it rained the whole time. By the time we got back here to Cardinal the roads were dry.

out the bedroom window near sunset on another hot summers day

along the street

some of the fancier day lilies starting to bloom

looks like lots of kiwi happening on this northern kiwi, the fruit looks and tastes the same as that sold in our local stores but are a smaller and thinner skinned.

finally the red bee balm is starting to flower.

spirea, one of many varieties, common on commercial sites.

these guys are going nuts this year.

another lily, common for commercial planting in local shopping mall parking lots.

monks hood standing tall, a plant to be careful with due to it toxicity, sometime used as a deadly poison

the insects that makes these bulbs has an interesting role on the reproduction cycle of these guys.

the wilderness of the land on it's own.

Enjoy your day
Cheers
